I got to wondering if I'm using a newer version of X where they've changed something about the way the mouse input/cursor works. I know that EQ/EQW uses raw input devices, so I dont know if theres something else there that Im missing. Now, wine doesn't crash when I make config changes in POL. I created a new virtual drive and did a fresh install, just to make sure I hadn't accidentally screwed anything else up.I can only get it to detach from those sides if I hit a certain spot on the screen with my invisible X cursor. Also, the cursor likes to slide along the left and top sides when I'm doing this. Unfortunately, EQW is required to run the Windows EverQuest client to connect to the Mac server. In any Unix sysem you would simply type that into the command line, on Mac, though, you may need to specify the argument via a middleware like Codeweavers or PlayOnMac. Lutris is an open-source application to easily install Windows games on Linux. DefRawInputProc is called with the same parameters received by the window procedure. That means you have to invoke Wine to run Steam.exe (the actual binary for Steam) with the argument specified as -no-cef-sandbox. There is also a corresponding Macintosh version called PlayOnMac. This function ensures that every message is processed. The game window never seems to "grab" the mouse otherwise, regardless of my wine configuration for "Allow full screen windows to capture the mouse." The whole idea of EQW is to allow EverQuest to run in a window, so I'm not sure if it actually counts as a full-screen window. Calls the default raw input procedure to provide default processing for any raw input messages that an application does not process. I can only get the in-game cursor to respond somewhat-consistently if I hold left- or right-click somewhere in the game window the whole time I'm moving the mouse.Only if you don't, hit 'Configure' (gear button). You should now have a Steam icon in your PlayOnMac main window. Don't check 'run Steam now' or whatever it says when it's done. maybe just because theres no camera at all due to issue 3. Press 'Install' (plus button) in the PlayOnMac main window.
